💙 Foxholm Ron – a Blue Somali Kitten💙

Meet Foxholm Ron – a little boy who truly has something very special about him.

Ron is the most affectionate boy in his litter. He is incredibly loving, gentle and people-oriented. He actively seeks out human company, loves being close and often comes over simply to ask for a little extra affection. Ron seems to think that people are quite simply the best thing in the world.

At the same time, he is of course a true Somali – curious, playful, intelligent and always interested in whatever his family is doing.

The Somali is a very special breed, known for its intelligence and its exceptionally strong, almost dog-like bond with its people. They don’t just want to live in the same home as you – they want to share your everyday life. They want to be involved in whatever you are doing, follow you around, “help”, investigate and preferably keep track of absolutely everything that is going on.

Ron also has something that makes him a little extra special – his beautiful blue colour.

Blue is one of the less common colours in Somalis, with an elegant, soft appearance. It is also a colour especially close to our hearts at Foxholm and has been an important part of our breeding programme over the past few years.

A blue Somali changes considerably as it grows. The rather cool kitten colour gradually develops into a warmer, deeper shade, while the ticking and contrasts become more pronounced. At around 18 months of age, you really begin to see the adult colour, and the coat can continue developing until approximately three years of age.

But for us, it is not Ron’s colour that makes him most special. It is the whole combination – his unusual blue colour, his beautiful Somali expression and, above all, his wonderfully affectionate temperament.

Ron was born on 14 July and is being raised in our home together with his siblings and our other cats, right in the middle of everyday family life.

We are looking for a loving and secure home where he will be a true member of the family. For the right person, Ron will not simply be a beautiful cat – he will be a little friend and companion to share many years with.

When Ron leaves us, he will come with:

• Pedigree and registration with SNRF/WCF
• Vaccinations
• Rabies vaccination
• EU Pet Passport
• Microchip
• Veterinary health examination
• A generous starter pack with familiar food and other things from home

Ron will be ready to leave no earlier than 16 weeks of age.

For us, our responsibility as breeders does not end when a kitten leaves our home. We remain available to our cats and their families throughout the cat’s life. Whether it is a simple question, a little concern, a request for advice or something more serious, our kitten families are always welcome to contact us – even many years after their kitten has left us.
